Automatic Scholarships

A complete scholarship application is submitted.
An official seventh-semester transcript and ACT score has been submitted with the Counselor Verification Form.
They meet additional GPA / ACT, class rank or National Merit requirements listed below.
They are a fulltime student.

KCTCS Commonwealth Scholarship (Full Tuition*)
Available to a valedictorian of any public Kentucky high school (as of the seventh semester). This scholarship may be renewed for a second consecutive year depending on academic performance.

National Merit Scholarship ($2,000)
Available to all National Merit Finalists and Semi-Finalists. This scholarship is in addition to other awards received. This scholarship may be renewed for a second consecutive year depending on academic performance.

Presidential Scholarship (Full Tuition*)
Available to all students who meet the GPA / ACT noted below. This scholarship may be renewed for a second consecutive year depending on academic performance.

Trustee’s Scholarship (75% of Full Tuition*)
Available to all students who meet the GPA / ACT noted below. This scholarship may be renewed for a second consecutive year depending on academic performance.

Academic Excellence Scholarship (50% of Full Tuition*)
Available to all students who meet the GPA / ACT noted below. This scholarship may be renewed for a second consecutive year depending on academic performance.

Beiderwell I Scholarship (25% of Full Tuition*)
Available to all students who meet the GPA / ACT noted below. This scholarship may be renewed for a second consecutive year depending on academic performance.

Currently Enrolled WKCTC Students
Currently enrolled WKCTC students are eligible for automatic scholarships at WKCTC if:

A complete scholarship application is submitted.
They have a cumulative GPA of 3.90 or above.
They have completed a minimum of 24 and no more than 35 graded college hours (PCC and WKTCs credit apply. Developmental classes excluded).
They are a fulltime student.

Beiderwell II Scholarship (25% of Full Tuition*)
Available to all students who meet the GPA and credit hour criteria noted above. This scholarship is for one year only.

* Full tuition is considered from 12 to 15 hours. Developmental classes are not eligible.
