PURCHASING TEXTBOOKS: Getting textbooks in a timely manner is a key to your success as an online student.  Textbooks for WKCTC online classes can be purchased at the Barnes and Noble bookstore located on campus in the Nemer building.  When purchasing books, whether on-line or in-person, a student should have a copy of the schedule to verify section numbers, colleges, and instructors.  Different instructors (particularly at different campus locations) often use different books. Textbooks for online courses taught by other KCTCS colleges can be purchased from a central bookstore at www.whywaitforbooks.com.  Select Kentucky as your state and KCTCS as your school.  Select KCTCS Distance Learning as your campus bookstore.  While referring to your student schedule select the appropriate term, department, course, and section to access the required textbook(s).  Follow instructions on the website for charging books to your Student Financial Aid (SFA) or credit card account; books will be sent directly to your home. Any SFA charges (including 3rd party) can occur during pre-approved charge dates only. Third party. students sponsored by Voc Rehab, VA, WIA, etc. will need to take a copy of their schedule to the WKCTC bookstore and request an order form for books at least two weeks prior to the start of classes. The bookstore will order the books and contact the student when the books arrive. The student must sign for the charges when the books are picked up.
