Family Share Learning Experience

  Some adult learners might feel a little out of place on today's fast-pace, college campuses. Those learners might especially feel odd going back to college with their children.

But not Gayna Felts.

Felts and two of her three sons are attending West Kentucky Community & Technical College, and discovering that learning as a family can be special, with its own rewards. (more)
 
 
WKCTC Presented $1,200 for Community Service
 

The Rev. Calvin Cole, pastor of Mount Moriah Missionary Baptist Church, presented a $1200 check to five non profit organizations, including West Kentucky Community & Technical College. The proceeds were from the church’s 2008 Women’s Ministry Concert and Retreat. Paula Armon accepted the award on WKCTC’s behalf.

 
 
A Celebration of Abraham Lincoln
 

Author and historian Berry Craig discussed the life and history of US President Abraham Lincoln during a presentation February 12 at West Kentucky Community & Technical College.

Craig’s presentation, titled “Our Favorite Son,”  marked the college’s bicentennial celebration of Lincoln’s 1809 birth.

United Way Campaign, a Great Success!

West Kentucky Community & Technical College faculty and staff raised a total of $7,108 for the 2008 United Way Campaign. "It was a tremendous campaign this year and I personally want to thank each and everyone who donated to this very beneficial organization," said Beverly McKinley, Campus Coordinator for United Way.



WKCTC's Chinese professors recently made a presentation to middle and high school students at Community Christian Academy regarding Chinese culture, their educational system, and lifestyle of a Chinese student.
